Job summary

SAIC in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Operations Facility & Logistics Engineer to oversee project management and the logistics of secure operations centers for a major space system.

The role requires coordinating with government and contractor sites to maximize readiness, reduce lifecycle costs, and minimize downtime, while leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of DoD or satellite program experience.
• Masters degree with 7+ years preferred.
• Experience in operations management and logistics for defense programs.
• Familiarity with secure satellite communications procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA support for establishing an operations center for a major space system.
• Define and locate the operations center, establish the operations center, and provide integrated logistics support.
• Coordinate daily with internal and external stakeholders to ensure readiness.
• Serve as operations center leadership’s main point of contact to ensure stakeholders have what they need to execute the mission.
• Develop and maintain facilities plans, synchronizing renovations and alterations.
• Assist in stand-up and management of communications networks to maintain security of networks and links.
• Assist in providing seamless communication between military and intelligence agencies as needed.
