Job summary

The Building People, LLC in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced Space and Occupancy Planner for an on-site role supporting our government client. You will work with the Space Management Team on Workplace Strategy & Design Management and serve as an SME for building restacking and TRIRIGA data handling.

Responsibilities include analyzing space needs, validating occupancy, generating space plans, and proposing relocation scenarios while ensuring adherence to client standards and project

Qualifications

• Space planning experience is required.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and understand space adjacencies.

Responsibilities

• Gather planning data and define optimal functional adjacencies and move sequencing.
• Interpret CAD drawings and analyze space needs.
• Maintain knowledge of current and future space needs and client direction.
• Analyze space requirements and provide space plans and recommendations.
• Perform space surveys to validate occupancy.
• Incorporate client standards and infrastructure considerations.
• Propose relocation scenarios with pros/cons.
• Assign space using space standards and blocking diagrams.
• Maintain project tasks and schedules to meet deadlines and assignments.
• Provide monthly reports on tasks and status.
• Be accountable for projects from start to finish.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
