Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation, a federally funded research and development center, offers an on-site internship in Chantilly, VA (or El Segundo, CA, or Colorado Springs, CO) for 10+ weeks. You will engage in astrodynamics-related analysis, work with seasoned staff, and develop tools using Python, C++, and Fortran in an HPC environment.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a higher-education program (MS/PhD) and capable of obtaining a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical discipline.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program after completion.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to focus areas of support listed above.
• Apply and develop analysis tools and techniques as necessary.
• Work with department staff as part of project teams.
• Tasking may include multiple, simultaneous projects; mentorship will be provided.
