Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is recruiting a Graduate-level Intern to support space mission analyses and operations in the Space Control and Awareness Department (SCAD). The role is 100% onsite in Colorado Springs, CO or El Segundo, CA, with training and mentorship provided.

Applicants must hold a completed Bachelor’s degree and be admitted to a graduate STEM program, with GPA 3.0 or higher and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed and currently enrolled in a graduate STEM program or senior class by internship start date
  • Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program after internship
  • Bachelor’s degree prior to internship start date
  • Minimum GPA 3.0; U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Algorithm assessment and development
  • Space protection and threat susceptibility, vulnerability analysis and resiliency assessment
  • Orbit determination, target tracking, GNSS analysis
  • Modeling, simulation and analysis using in-house and external tools
  • Apply standard techniques to prescribed scientific/engineering tasks
