Job summary

Strategic Alliance Business Group (SABG) is looking for a Space Modeling and Simulations Engineer (Level II, III, or IV) to support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance and possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.

The successful candidate will develop simulation models of spacecraft systems, conduct studies on sensor phenomenology, and perform orbital mechanics modeling among other responsibilities. Experience in Python programming and aerospace systems is essential. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a low to moderate noise office environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in modeling and simulation for aerospace or space systems.
• Strong understanding of various sensor systems and associated modeling methods.
• Ability to communicate technical results clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain physics‑based simulation models of spacecraft systems.
• Perform end-to-end performance modeling for satellite missions.
• Conduct sensor phenomenology studies for detection, tracking, and signature analysis.
