Advanced Space is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer (2–5 years) for a hybrid role focused on developing ML-driven capabilities to support spacecraft missions, autonomy, navigation, and mission planning.

You will translate complex engineering challenges into practical data-driven solutions, own projects end-to-end, and collaborate across disciplines to enable space missions and spacecraft operations.

Qualifikationen

• BS in CS/ML or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of professional ML engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with ML frameworks and building end-to-end ML workflows.

Aufgaben

• Develop ML solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Design and implement ML-enabled capabilities for spacecraft missions.
• Own technical work packages from concept to deployment.
• Build and maintain end-to-end ML workflows with versioning and testing.
• Evaluate model performance with rigorous validation and metrics.
• Collaborate with navigation, mission design, flight software, and systems teams.
• Research emerging ML techniques and apply them to aerospace problems.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools with proper validation and security.
