Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory in Utah is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead space-based system programs, including sensors and satellite technologies, with responsibilities spanning planning, execution, and data processing for on-orbit assets.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets, and report progress to senior leadership and sponsors, while ensuring compliance with government standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering, science, or business.
• 5+ years of project management experience, including 2+ years in satellite/space systems.
• Proven success managing complex projects through full development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of space applications.
• Experience with program management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional teams delivering space-based system capabilities (sensors, small satellites, mission planning, automation, data processing).
• Manages project lifecycle from concept through operations (scope, schedule, budget, quality).
• Interfaces with engineers, system architects, satellite operators, and Government sponsors.
• Oversees risk management, change control, and related processes.
• Coordinates integration and testing activities.
• Ensures compliance with Government and quality standards.
• Tracks and reports program status, technical progress, and resources to leadership and customers.
