Job summary

Sphinx Defense, Inc. is recruiting a Product Manager for Mission Planning Operations/Ground Terminal Management. You will guide product direction for satellite command/control, telemetry, RF terminals, and operator workflows within an Agile, multi-team environment.

You will translate operator needs into software features, manage backlogs/roadmaps, and collaborate with engineering and leadership to delivery, including interaction with government users and program stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading software product development teams.
• Experience supporting satellite command and control, telemetry, ground systems, RF terminals, or related space mission operations.
• Experience leading product execution across multiple Agile software development teams or complex programs.
• Strong understanding of operator workflows and mission needs; translate into software capabilities.
• Experience owning product backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritization across iterations.
• Ability to represent user perspective when direct feedback is limited.
• Experience with government or mission partner end users to define requirements.
• Strong technical aptitude to work with engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary user advocate for the Ops & Terminals IPT, shaping priorities across the development lifecycle.
• Own feature-level priorities across Program Increments and translate into sprint-level stories.
• Apply domain expertise to inform product decisions on satellite command/telemetry and ground ops.
• Translate operational needs into prioritized feature requirements for engineering teams.
• Manage feature roadmap across multiple Program Increments and align with program timelines.
• Collaborate with operator groups and stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
