Job summary

Lunar Outpost in Golden, CO, seeks a Mission System Cybersecurity Engineer to integrate security across the Lunar Outpost Mission System and ground systems throughout their lifecycle.

You will lead security controls, risk management, and compliance activities, including audits, SSPs/POA&Ms, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams to ensure resilience of critical space systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, Information Technology, related discipline or relevant experience.
• Experience with security compliance audits and frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and maintain security controls aligned to NIST 800-171, DFARS, NIST 800-53 and ITAR.
• Decompose cybersecurity requirements into architecture, design, implementation, test and verification activities.
• Design, implement, monitor, and maintain security controls in mission systems and conduct incident response.
