Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a resilient Mechanical Technician to fabricate, assemble, and maintain ground support equipment and facility hardware at the SSDF facility. The role interfaces with engineers and technicians across teams and reports to the PTS Manager. Multiple levels may be filled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of professional aerospace/aviation experience in a hands‑on role with hardware assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering models, blueprints and schematics.
• Assemble and maintain ground support equipment and facility hardware.
• Operate precision tools and metrology equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams to document procedures.
• Maintain clean rooms and safety practices; manage daily work area housekeeping.
