Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop, test, and maintain power and control systems for our New Glenn program. You will design PLC software, electrical schematics, and Ground Support Equipment, while collaborating with technicians on installation and commissioning at multiple Blue Origin sites.

You will work with Rockwell or Siemens hardware, Mil-Spec connectors, and wind-chill Creo tools to ensure safe, reliable operations. U.S. citizenship or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
  • 1–5 years in power and control systems for launch vehicles.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Mil-Spec connectors.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with Rockwell or Siemens industrial control hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Project leadership in IEC/industrial control system, PLC hardware apps, design, fabrication support, PLC software development.
  • Design new and modify electrical power and controls schematics, single-line diagrams.
  • Design new and modify assembly drawings of designs.
  • Design Electrical Ground Support Equipment for launch vehicle charge/discharge systems.
  • Design Launch Vehicle Electrical Umbilical & Disconnect Systems.
  • Design Launch Vehicle Launch Ready/Commit/Abort Control System.
  • Design Electrical Control systems for ground support functions.
  • Peer-review internal/external supplier design documentation.
  • Collaborate with technicians on fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
