HX5 is seeking a Machine-Tool Operator (Tool Room) to work onsite in a laboratory environment at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves setting up and operating machine tools to shape, finish, or assemble metal parts, gauges, and patterns with high precision.

Qualifications

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required.
• Ability to obtain NASA Public Trust background screening.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform machining operations with complex setups or high accuracy.
• Set up machine tools and adjust tooling, feeds, speeds, and sequences.
• Use precision measuring instruments and make adjustments to achieve tight tolerances.
• Select proper coolants and dress tools as needed.
