Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to perform security engineering across the lifecycle, with a focus on space systems and network protection requirements.

Qualified candidates hold a TS/SCI with Poly, a relevant bachelor's degree, and 8+ years IA experience, including ICD 503/C&A. Space system experience is required, with postings in Chantilly VA, Aurora CO, Springfield VA, Las Cruces NM, LAAFB, Vandenberg (Lompoc) CA and Fort Meade MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree relevant to computer engineering, INFOSEC, information management, and/or computer science.
• TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Minimum 8+ years IA relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ICD 503 and the government certification and accreditation process.
• Space system experience is required across specified locations.
• Baseline certifications CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GCLP.
• Experience with security controls, secure coding, and space system protection needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IS security engineering activities throughout the lifecycle.
• Capture and refine information protection requirements for acquisitions and development.
• Integrate security requirements into acquisition lifecycle phases and documents.
• Coordinate with A&A stakeholders and ensure alignment with space system protection needs.
• Participate in reviews and working groups as required by location.
