Job summary

Astrion is seeking an entry to mid-level Controls & Data Acquisition Engineer to support ISRU tech development for lunar and Martian missions. The role sits at NASA Kennedy Space Center facilities, focusing on LabVIEW-based control, sensor integration, and data acquisition in harsh environments.

You will design and implement DAQ/control systems, instrument ISRU reactors, and develop robust test plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver validated hardware/software solutions for

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or related field.
1–7+ years of engineering experience; entry to mid-level.
3+ years hands-on LabVIEW or equivalent DAQ/control systems.
Experience with sensors (thermocouples, pressure, voltage/current).
Familiarity with RS232, I2C, CAN, EtherCAT.
Experience writing technical reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement DAQ and control systems using LabVIEW or similar.
Instrument ISRU reactor and purification systems with robust sensors.
Develop closed-loop control for heaters, actuators, and hardware.
Integrate hardware such as stepper motors, actuators, heating elements.
Acquire, process, filter, and log high-quality sensor data.
Develop test plans and execution strategies for tech development.
Analyze data and generate technical reports and publications.
Collaborate with mechanical, chemical, and systems engineers.
