Job summary

Astranis is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineering Intern to contribute to automated test infrastructure for spacecraft hardware. You will help design, build, and validate test systems, focusing on electrical controls, safety interlocks, and telemetry pipelines, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role blends hardware and software work in a lab environment, offering hands-on experience with control panels, sensors, and DAQ systems while contributing to safe, reliable testing

Qualifications

Pursuing a technical degree such as EE, Mechatronics, CS, or related field.
Experience with sensors, instrumentation, or data acquisition.
Strong Python programming skills and willingness to work hands-on in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

Support design, build, integration, and commissioning of automated test systems for spacecraft hardware and ground-support equipment.
Assist with electrical controls hardware, including control panels, wiring, sensors, actuators, relays, power distribution, DAQ systems, and safety interlocks.
Collaborate with environmental test, mechanical, electrical, reliability, manufacturing, and software teams to build safe and repeatable test solutions.
