Job summary

Triad National Security LLC at Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Development and Fabrication Technician to join the ISR-5 group. You will build complex electromechanical instruments, fabricate parts, and support assembly, test, and documentation in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

The role offers progression from Technician 3 to Technician 4, with independent work planning and mentoring responsibilities, collaborating with engineers and scientists on space and national security

Qualifications

• Problem solving with attention to detail and the ability to translate requirements into fabrication steps.
• Clear communication and teamwork to collaborate with engineers and scientists.
• Technical proficiency with mechanical and electrical assemblies and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and modify electrical and mechanical components and systems.
• Procure mechanical parts and assembly components for instrument development.
• Interpret drawings and perform inspections using hand tools and CMM.
• Generate design, assembly, and test documentation and perform in-process inspections.
• Collaborate to identify problems and implement solutions.
• Ensure safety and security policies are followed.
