Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering Space Institute in Houston seeks an Operations Manager to lead facility operations, maintenance, and infrastructure in a dynamic, multi-tenant environment. You will ensure safety, reliability, and readiness of spaces including Moon and Mars analog landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.
• Five (5) years of related experience in facility operations, maintenance, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preventative, corrective, and planned maintenance for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, custodial, and grounds operations.
• Manages vendor services, contractors, and maintenance providers to ensure quality and compliance.
• Oversees access control, badging, tenant onboarding, and facility usage processes with secure access reviews.
• Leads safety, emergency preparedness, and business continuity efforts including drills and on-call responses.
• Coordinates with business operations staff on supply ordering and purchase documentation.
