Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Space Imaging team to define active EO/IR system architectures and perform radiometric performance modeling. You will lead lab and field testing, with opportunities to guide small teams from concept through development, including collaboration with hardware, software, and mission teams.

The role requires proficiency in MATLAB/Python, experience with EO/IR modeling tools, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Model development and validation in remote sensing domains.
• Decompose complex systems into functional parts with defined interfaces.
• Experience in system design from concept to delivery.
• Strong lab skills and familiarity with opto‑electrical test equipment.
• Willingness to travel to test sites.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses.
• Adapt physics-based models of sensor performance and derive requirements.
• Develop prototype sensor systems in a lab environment.
• Support laboratory and field experiments and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mission teams to deliver high-performance systems.
• Validate models against lab and real-world data.
• Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
