Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer on the Space Imaging team to define architectures and perform performance modeling for spaceborne EO/IR sensors. You will lead prototype development, conduct lab and flight tests, and collaborate with hardware, software, and mission teams to deliver high-performance systems.

Applicants should have proficiency in MATLAB/Python and experience with EO/IR modeling tools (MODTRAN, SPIRITS, AFSIM). Willingness to travel and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in model development and validation for remote sensing
• Ability to decompose complex systems into modules with clear interfaces
• Experience in system design from concept to delivery
• Strong lab skills and familiarity with opto-electrical test equipment
• Willingness to travel to test sites
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance

Responsibilities

• Define architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses.
• Develop physics-based models of sensor performance and derive requirements.
• Develop prototype sensor systems in a lab environment.
• Support laboratory and field experiments and demonstrations.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, and mission teams to deliver systems.
• Validate models against lab and real-world data.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders of varying backgrounds.
