Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an experienced test automation technician for its Space Technologies division in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on constructing and maintaining automated test systems for space flight hardware, interfacing with diverse electrical and optomechanical components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and testing electrical systems, configuring test instruments, assembling harnesses, and maintaining automation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and lab instrumentation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience fabricating wire harnesses and test cables.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ESD/FOD controls and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain automated test systems for space hardware.
• Build wire and cable harnesses for test setups.
• Validate, test, and calibrate test systems for reliability.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and document results.
• Train teammates on test system operation and setup.
