Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Avionics Automation Test Engineer II to automate and improve testing for avionics and satellites. This role deploys our internal test automation platform and supports the AIT team during spacecraft test campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of space-related experience (spacecraft test, systems, or spacecraft software).
  • 2+ years programming in distributed applications.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and utilization of our internal test automation platform for future spacecraft programs.
  • Provide critical support to the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) team as they execute spacecraft test campaigns using our software.
  • Collaborate with systems, flight software, ground software, and operations to add features and manage deployments.
  • Investigate, resolve, and bury bugs encountered by other teams.
