Job summary

Amazon Leo Manufacturing Enterprises is seeking a Front Line Support Mechanical Engineer for the 2nd shift in Kirkland, WA to own mechanical assembly processes and production line performance on the Leo satellite program.

You will collaborate with design, tooling, and electrical teams, drive manufacturability improvements, and troubleshoot production issues while delivering cost-effective, high-quality assemblies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years building, assembling and testing mechanical assemblies.
• Prototyping and implementation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related field.
• Experience with production facility startup is a plus.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design space hardware production processes and production lines.
• Work with supply chain partners to manage critical vendors.
• Material flow planning and manufacturing process definition with minimal existing definition.
• Support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate across teams.
