Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an MFG Assembly Technician II in Washington (Kirkland) to assemble, test, and integrate satellite hardware. You will work with cross-functional teams, interpret engineering docs, and ensure safety, quality, and timely production of aerospace-grade components in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, harnessing, testing, rigging, and collaborating with ME to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment or relevant trade school certification.
• 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches).
• 1+ years working with test tools and methods that validate the system.
• Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Quality Leadership: Champion high safety and quality standards for both products and personnel.
• Satellite Integration & Testing: Perform integration and testing of Leo satellites and complex subassemblies in cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments.
• Hardware Handling: Conduct rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware with precision and care.
• Precision Tooling: Utilize calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Process Compliance: Execute work in accordance with procedures, specifications, and work instructions
• Non-Conformance Documentation: Identify and document non-conformities for traceability and corrective action.
• Digital Systems Use: Operate MES in SAP.
• Collaboration & Improvement: Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to develop and document improvements.
• Operational Support: Perform other duties to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Flexibility: Work overtime and adapt to working independently or as a team.
