Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our fast-paced, aerospace engineering team in California. You will design components and assemblies, create 3D CAD models, and produce 2D drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5, ensuring manufacturability and reliable performance in demanding environments.

Ideal candidates have an associate or bachelor’s degree in design with 5–10 years of experience, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of delivering high-quality results on tight

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in design or related field with 5–10 years of experience.
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD environments; SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to design components and assemblies meeting requirements.
• Create 3D CAD production models and 2D GD&T drawings per ASME Y14.5.
• Design for manufacturability and maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
