Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer I to join the Space Technologies team. You will design, test, and validate hardware for momentum control systems and work closely with customers and internal teams to meet specifications.

As part of a high-velocity environment, you will contribute from prototype through to market, interact with stakeholders, and report to the Sr Systems Engineering Manager. This is a 100% onsite role in Glendale, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering.
• Academic, internship, project or professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Expert with modeling tools such as NX.

Responsibilities

• Design and support hardware for space applications, including momentum control systems.
• Design, modify and test Control Moment gyros and create related documentation.
• Provide written reports and oral presentations on technical approaches and status.
