Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Glendale, AZ seeks an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for space hardware including reaction wheels and control gyroscopes.

You will report to the Senior Engineering Supervisor on a hybrid schedule, with 90 days onsite to start, contributing to design, analysis and documentation for high-reliability systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors.
• Ability to produce 3D CAD Models, Drawings and associated Parts Lists.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and ASME Y14.100.
• Ability to perform Tolerance Analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat.

• Authoring ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices).

Job Description

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be working with Engineering to create and/or modify 3D solid models and create drawings and parts lists of mechanical parts and assemblies used in space related applications including Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Control Moment Gyroscopes, Isolation systems, Mechanisms and Electronics Packaging. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Supervisor and work out of our Glendale, AZ site on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. Honeywell Aerospace Glendale, AZ facility has a 40-year heritage of engineering, designing, testing, and manufacturing high reliability products for manned and unmanned space applications and missions.
