Stellar Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a national security space ground program at Los Angeles AFB. You will integrate DoD ground-based systems with mission software, develop ICDs, and support digital engineering efforts in a classified environment.

This is a full-time, on-site role in El Segundo, CA requiring Secret security clearance (SBI). The ideal candidate has extensive systems engineering, mission integration, scripting in Python, and strong collaboration skills across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems engineering, integration, or testing on DoD ground-based space systems.
• 5+ years integrating new missions with ground segment software.
• Experience developing Interface Control Documents, service decompositions, and API definitions.
• Experience MBSE or Digital Engineering to manage baselines.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering, integration, and testing for DoD ground-based space systems.
• Support integration of new missions into ground segment capabilities.
• Maintain and upgrade ground segment software.
• Develop and maintain ICDs, service decompositions, and API definitions.
• Use Python to support engineering activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration challenges.
• Support software-oriented engineering in Agile/DevSecOps environments when applicable.
• Communicate technical information using program tools.
