Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Defined Radio Hardware Associate for Summer 2027 in Northern California. You will design, simulate, and test SDR hardware, bring up hardware in the lab, and automate hardware testing as part of a 12-week summer program.

Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and will work on projects heading toward spaceflight. This paid summer role offers hands-on design and collaboration with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Solid EE foundation in mixed-signal design and RF design.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test internally developed SDR hardware.
• Bring up and debug hardware in the lab with high-end instruments.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Integrate SDR systems into the spacecraft in collaboration with the team.
