Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to contribute to the design and development of mechanical components and systems for space applications at the Glendale, AZ site. You will work on detailed CAD designs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support prototype testing to validate concepts.

The role reports to the Sr Systems Engineering Manager and is 100% onsite. A STEM degree and CAD proficiency are required, with aerospace experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 18 mths experience in mechanical design and development.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design and familiarity with design tools.
• Understanding of mechanical analysis and simulation concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Support prototype development and testing activities to validate mechanical designs.
