CesiumAstro seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement software for aerospace-grade devices, from concept through production. You will work on Linux-based SBCs and high-reliability microcontroller systems, collaborating with hardware teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Strong C/C++ skills and RTOS experience are essential, with opportunity to contribute to SDK development and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years in software development.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded hardware; API design for interfacing with FPGAs.
• Experience with aerospace products.
• C/C++ programming.
• Realtime OS experience; Linux is desirable.
• Familiarity with software configuration management and defect tracking.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production.
• Develop, test, debug, and document system software.
• Review code and system designs for quality and efficiency.
• Analyze code for performance, stability, and scalability.
• Integrate and validate new product designs.
• Support software QA and post-production/in-orbit customer support.
• Interface with hardware design engineers.
• Assess third-party and open-source software.
