Job summary

SEAKR Engineering, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement software for space-grade hardware. You will own feature development in constrained environments and work with minimal supervision on critical projects.

The role is onsite with some hybrid flexibility. 3–5 years of embedded experience, a Bachelor's in engineering or CS, and strong OS fundamentals are essential. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and networking basics is valued, with room to grow.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional embedded systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Solid OS concepts: kernel vs user space, scheduling, memory management, synchronization.
• Proficiency in Python, C and/or C++, with OO principles.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, MAC addresses and basic packet inspection tools.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Experience reading specifications and adapting to new protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software in C/C++ for constrained environments.
• Implement state machines and handle interrupts and asynchronous events.
• Work with OS concepts like process scheduling and synchronization.
• Integrate networking capabilities into embedded devices (TCP/IP basics).
