Job summary

SEAKR Engineering is seeking an accomplished Space Electronics Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and qualification of mission-critical avionics for our next-generation space products.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, power, and software teams to deliver radiation-tolerant electronics that meet stringent requirements, participate in design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive verification efforts within a three-onsite/two-remote hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in space systems engineering, or 4+ years in senior/lead role.
• Deep knowledge of digital/analog mixed-signal electronics and high-speed design.
• Experience with radiation testing and mitigation techniques.
• Proven ability to lead/design reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate avionics architecture for mission-critical subsystems.
• Select components (COTS/rad-hard) against mission specs.
• Oversee prototype build and production implementation.
• Design and execute system-level test plans (EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal).
• Maintain ICDs and interface control documents; coordinate cross-disciplinary work.
• Produce design specifications, test procedures, and operation manuals.
