Job summary

CGI Federal in Houston seeks an Electronics Components Engineer to support NASA flight programs. You will evaluate EEE parts, coordinate with NASA customers, and ensure parts meet environmental and reliability requirements for spaceflight hardware.

You will report to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager, review specifications and NSPAR documentation, and assist in failure investigations, part selection, and derating analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years in space/defense environments.
• Experience coordinating with NASA customers and teams.
• Experience in design reviews, development, and part selection for space flight.
• Experience with procurement specs, SCDs, and project documentation.
• Experience with NSPAR development and PCB related docs.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager.
• Provide EEE parts support for NASA GFE flight projects.
• Evaluate EEE parts lists for hardware criticality and environmental suitability.
• Report findings to the EEE Parts Control Board (PCB).
• Recommend replacement EEE parts when needed.
• Assist in EEE parts failure investigations.
• Review NASA specs, standards, and studies for NASA applications.
• Support qualification plans, screening, and NSPAR.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.
