Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA, seeks Cable and Harness Technician – Level 1 or 2 for onsite work. You will fabricate and assemble complex space-flight cables from drawings and wire lists, in an ESD/FOD-controlled area, using common hand tools and soldering equipment.

Level 1/2 qualifications include reading drawings, shielded cable work, and experience with D-Sub, RF, and circular connectors. Team-oriented with strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret, and execute tasks from complex engineering drawings, wire lists, schematics, and instructions.
• Familiarity with cable shielding, including terminating shielded cables with braid or drain wires.
• Maintain high-quality standards in ESD-controlled environments and follow FOD policies.
• Familiar with connector assembly (D-Sub, circular, RF) including torquing and potting as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shop floor documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork to collaborate with engineers, QA, and technicians.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team.

• Work with a team including Manufacturing Engineers, Technical Writers, QA Reps, and Production Planners.
• Report to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Work well alone and in a team environment.

• Be a self-starter, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Maintain strong attention to detail.
• No heavy lifting; mostly standing/sitting with some reaching.
