Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) seeks a Technician for cable and harness assembly. The role involves coordinating with engineering, interfacing with Stockroom and Manufacturing Specialists, and completing workmanship training in crimp cable harnesses, hand soldering, visual inspection, potting of connectors, and testing and labeling.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or some higher education.
• Ability to see a project though from start to finish.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented.
• Ability to learn automated machine operation.
• Ability to identify and work through problems that may arise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
• Comfortable with teamwork and communication within the team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other U.S. person.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and provide feedback to engineering, interfacing with Stockroom and Manufacturing Specialists.
• Complete workmanship training in crimp cable harnesses, hand soldering, visual inspection, potting of connectors, and cable testing and labeling.
• Work overtime as needed.
