Job summary

EON is building a high-throughput GNC data link in space. We seek engineers across pointing, acquisition, and simulation to own segments of the pointing chain from concept through first light, and to defend budgets with rigorous simulation.

Your work will tie platform pointing to a robust simulation framework, supporting 6-DOF dynamics, orbital geometry, and vendor interfaces. Expect a fast-paced, high-impact environment in Culver City, CA.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace/electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or related technical field.
• Fundamentals across GNC (attitude determination/control, orbit/ephemeris, pointing).
• Programming for modeling/analysis (Python, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Ability to move fast and make sound decisions with incomplete data.

Responsibilities

• Own a distinct piece of the pointing chain from concept to first light.
• Build and defend the body-pointing and acquisition error budgets.
• Model, simulate, and analyze platform dynamics, geometry, and pointing performance.
• Define interfaces with bus vendor, Lasercom PAT loop, and optical seats.
