Job summary

Endeavor Optical Network in Culver City, CA is seeking GNC engineers across pointing, acquisition, and simulation to prove the full chain before first light.

You will own a segment of the pointing chain, defend body-pointing and acquisition budgets, and build 6-DOF models, Monte Carlo campaigns, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.

Qualifications

• A degree in aerospace, electrical engineering, physics, CS, or related field.
• Fundamentals across GNC (attitude, orbit, pointing) with end-to-end reasoning.
• Programming for modeling, analysis, or test (Python, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Ability to move fast and make decisions with incomplete data.

Responsibilities

• Own a distinct piece of the pointing chain from concept through first light.
• Build and defend body-pointing and acquisition error budgets against the link budget.
• Model, simulate, and analyze platform dynamics, geometry, and pointing performance; validate against hardware.
• Define interfaces with the bus vendor, Lasercom PAT loop, and optical seats.
• Identify high-risk assumptions early and retire them via simulation, analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Set and defend technical direction with incomplete data and document the reasoning.
