Job summary

Katalyst, an American technology company focused on dynamic space operations, seeks a GNC software engineer to architect and implement guidance, navigation, and control for RPOD missions in a fast-paced startup. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 0–3 years of experience, Python, and GNC deployment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in guidance, navigation, and control.
• Software development experience in Python.
• Experience developing, debugging, and deploying GNC sensors, effectors and algorithms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven startup atmosphere.
• Proven ability to lead a project from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions for space mission objectives focusing on autonomy, hardware and software.
• Lead architecture design, trade studies, and GNC team for RPOD missions.
• Design algorithms, simulations, and tools for orbit determination and state estimation.
• Analyze datasets for training and validation of algorithms.
• Collaborate with software and GNC teams to implement algorithms in flight software.
