Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in Northern California is seeking an FPGA Intern for Summer 2027. This twelve-week hourly internship offers hands-on hardware/software work on space-grade FPGA systems, with mentorship from experienced engineers and opportunities to contribute to real-space missions.

You will develop RTL for FPGA targeted applications, work with multiple FPGAs and toolchains, and interface FPGAs with high-speed peripherals while collaborating with hardware and software teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and testing high throughput systems implemented on FPGAs.
• Proficiency with Verilog/SystemVerilog for synthesis.
• US Citizenship or Green Card (This is a legal requirement; no exceptions).

Responsibilities

• RTL Development for FPGA targeted applications
• Work with multiple FPGAs and toolchains
• Interface FPGAs with peripherals including high speed data converters, memories, MCUs
• Write software to interface and test RTL in hardware
• Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers
