Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. seeks an Electrostatics Specialist Engineer (Space Exploration) to join the Houston-based team.

The role focuses on spacecraft charging analysis, surface potentials, and ESD mitigation for space and ground vehicles, with responsibilities across design reviews, testing, and risk assessment. You will work with a multidisciplinary group to develop models, run tests, and ensure compliance with NASA and MIL-STD standards, including lab and field testing.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, physics or materials.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject-matter expert in spacecraft charging analysis, surface potentials, ESD mitigation, materials evaluation, and vehicle-level electrostatic risk assessments.
  • Supports engineering teams developing spacecraft, rovers, or other platforms where electrostatic phenomena present mission, safety, or performance risks.
  • Evaluate circuits and box level designs for ESD protection.
  • Report directly to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager as part of a group of over 45 engineers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
