Job summary

SEAKR Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong digital design expertise, including microprocessors, ASICs, FPGAs, and memory technologies for space applications.

You will lead a design team from specification through hardware delivery, champion simulations, integration, and test, and work across multiple disciplines to meet customer requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of design experience.
• Extensive knowledge of circuit design and signal integrity.
• Led module debug and integration of module into system.
• Familiar with environmental test methods and flow.
• Understands and has performed worst case analysis.
• Ability to lead system integration and test of multiple digital boards, FPGA designs, and system software.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Digital board design with documentation, schematic capture, SI/PI analysis, and layout coordination.
• Hands-on debugging in lab using bench equipment, scopes, and logic analyzers.
• Oversee multiple module designs in a box system and provide technical oversight.
• Coordinate efforts across Hardware, Logic, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Test and Systems Engineers to meet requirements.
• Support full program life-cycle including environmental testing (thermal, vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC).
• Lead program team through major reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, PSR).
• Contribute to detailed reviews of FPGA, software, and mechanical designs.
• Deliver clear written and verbal communication; travel may be required.
• There can be limited local travel required.
