Job summary

SEAKR Engineering seeks a Senior Staff DSP Engineer to lead DSP strategy across programs, shaping architectures and best practices. You will drive algorithm development, hardware implementation in FPGA/ASIC, and rigorous verification, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with leadership.

You will ensure technical direction aligns with program goals, manage risk, and communicate complex DSP tradeoffs to customers and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in Digital Signal Processing architecture, algorithm development, implementation, integration, and verification.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership on complex DSP systems and/or across multiple engineering programs.
• Demonstrated ability to independently resolve highly complex technical challenges and make decisions with significant program or organizational impact.
• Experience developing and implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA and/or ASIC hardware.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical trade studies, design reviews, architecture decisions, and technical risk resolution.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and providing technical leadership and oversight to engineering teams.
• Ability to influence technical decisions across engineering disciplines, programs, and organizational leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures and requirements for DSP programs.
• Lead algorithm exploration, trade studies, and design reviews.
• Implement DSP algorithms in FPGA/ASIC and verify with hardware co-simulation.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout development lifecycle.
• Mentor DSP engineers and ensure consistent engineering practices across teams.
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to leadership and customers.
