Job summary

TRIDENT SYSTEMS LLC in Sterling, VA invites applications for a Buyer role within our Space Electronic Systems division. The position is full-time, on-site, and supports production through procurement of electronic components, parts, and services.

The Buyer will manage POs, quotes, supplier relationships, and ERP/MRP data while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and order execution in ERP/MRP.
• Working knowledge of material requirements planning and lead-time management.
• Excellent Excel skills and data analysis, with clear status communication.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Procure electronic components, mechanical parts, outside services, and other materials for production and programs.
• Create and manage purchase orders, quotes, and related documentation from requisition through closeout.
• Review material requirements, lead times, and delivery commitments in ERP/MRP to support schedules.
• Expedite, de-expedite, and reschedule orders to meet production and program priorities.
• Obtain quotes, analyze pricing, negotiate within authority, and balance cost and delivery.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and monitor on-time delivery and quality.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems including pricing and lead times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve shortages and schedule changes.
