Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation seeks a skilled Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force's space electromagnetic warfare initiatives. You will guide technical and acquisition activities, assess risks across space and ground architectures, and develop processes for dynamic sustainment of SEW assets.
Remote collaboration with government stakeholders and prime contractors is expected, with on-site duties in Colorado Springs or El Segundo.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of progressive professional experience in NSS or other defense systems engineering roles.
- Project experience in systems engineering and DoD acquisition activities across space and ground systems.
Responsibilities
- Shape the future of space electromagnetic warfare by guiding technical and acquisition activities.
- Perform systems analysis and engineering assessments to identify risks across space and ground architectures.
- Apply innovative systems engineering approaches to evaluate mission requirements and program delivery.
- Develop processes for dynamic sustainment of SEW assets and support acquisition milestones.
- Communicate plans and system details in reports and briefings to leadership and stakeholders.
