Job summary

The Space Education Specialist-Offsite Programs position at Space Foundation Discovery Center is based in Colorado Springs, CO. You will deliver engaging, standards-aligned space and STEM education to students and educators, developing offsite curricula (SiTC, SEPs) and supporting teacher professional development while assisting with on-site programs as needed.

You will collaborate with the education team to enhance content, manage lab spaces and equipment, and ensure safe, high-quality learning

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in education, science or a related field; STEM preferred.
• 1-3 years of classroom experience teaching grades 6-12 in Science, Math, or Technology preferred.
• Active teaching certification preferred.
• Experience with 3-D printing and LMS-based course design preferred.
• Familiarity with project-based and inquiry-based learning methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on space and STEM learning experiences for students, educators and communities.
• Develop and deliver offsite curriculum and programming (SiTC, SEPs) and teacher professional development.
• Support onsite and offsite programs, manage scheduling, setup, teardown and logistics.
• Collaborate with the education team to evaluate and improve program content and delivery.
• Collect data to evaluate impact and assist with grants and funding requirements.
