Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is hiring a Communications Systems and DSP Engineer in the Mission Payloads Division. This entry-level role focuses on RF and satellite communications, DSP, and hardware prototyping.

As an early career professional, you will work with world-class experts, collaborate with government and industry partners, and contribute across the space lifecycle from requirements through flight operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related technical discipline, graduating within last 12 months or recently conferred.
• 0-1 year of industry experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Coursework or internship in communications systems, DSP, or probability and random processes.
• MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++ programming experience.
• Willing to travel domestically and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems, under supervision, on projects involving physical layer modeling & simulation.
• Design and analyze communication waveforms and performance.
• Develop DSP algorithms and evaluate programs of record and future programs.
• Prototype hardware and test in laboratory and field environments.
• Translate vague concepts into well-defined technical plans and communicate results clearly.
