Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation, located in El Segundo, CA, is hiring a Communications Systems and DSP Engineer in the Mission Payloads Division. This entry-level role offers mentoring from experts and exposure to RF and satellite communication systems across the space lifecycle.

The position requires a recent degree, 3.0 GPA, and willingness to travel domestically. Candidates should have MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ experience and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related applicable technical discipline, pursuing or conferred within last 12 months.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 0-1 year of industry work experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply!).
• Coursework, academic project knowledge, and/or internship experience in communications systems, digital signal processing (DSP), or probability and random processes.
• MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++ programming experience.
• Willing to travel occasionally domestically to support customer needs.
• The ability to obtain a current and active TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government (U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance)
• This job typically requires 10% domestic travel. Increased travel (up to 20%) may be required to support certain customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems, under supervision and guidance, on projects involving physical layer modeling & simulation, waveform design and performance analysis, DSP algorithm development, and related programs.
• Translate vague concepts into practical, well-defined, methodical technical plans.
• Communicate technical results clearly in written reports and presentations.
