Job summary

MITRE seeks a Project Leader for Space Combat Power and Advanced Space Capabilities, anchored in Colorado Springs, with regular on-site presence across multiple sites. You will lead a high-profile, multi-sponsor program, coordinating orbital warfare, electronic warfare, and cyber operations to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

The role requires proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, strong sponsor engagement, and expertise in mission engineering and system-of-systems integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s in engineering or 10 years with a Master’s, or a PhD with 7 years’ experience.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in national security environments.
• Demonstrated depth in orbital warfare, electronic warfare, defensive cyber operations, or space systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of a large, multi-domain space capabilities program.
• Shape sponsor work and maintain trusted government sponsor relationships.
• Guide mission engineering, system-of-systems integration, modeling & simulation, and operational analysis.
