Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks an Intermediate Battlespace Awareness Operator to monitor space events, assess threats, and produce time-sensitive reporting in a 24/7 on-site environment at a government facility. This role requires independent work with broad guidance and mentors junior operators.

You will apply mission protection practices, coordinate with partners, and support testing of new SDA capabilities, contributing to secure, reliable space operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Experience in space domain awareness/space operations in a high-tempo environment.
• Experience producing operational reporting/briefings and coordinating responses with mission partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SDA tools, threat reporting, and operational cues to identify significant space events and I&W.
• Maintain and validate RSO custody for high-interest objects; reconcile discrepancies across sources.
• Lead event characterization and provide COA recommendations to leadership.
• Initiate and execute checklist responses; coordinate with mission partners to deconflict actions.
• Develop and deliver routine and ad hoc briefings for leadership, with proper classification.
• Analyze recurring events and tool performance; recommend updates to TTPs, thresholds, or workflows.
• Mentor junior operators during shifts and live events; provide on-the-job training.
• Support integration of new capabilities by participating in test events and validating procedures.
