Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks an Intermediate Battlespace Awareness (BSA) Operator to execute battlespace awareness and mission protection tasks in a 24/7 on-site government facility in Virginia. The role involves routine event characterization, data custody, and leadership briefings, with mentorship for junior operators.

Requirements include advanced space domain awareness experience, TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a track record of producing operational reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant, demonstrated expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant, demonstrated expertise.
• No degree with 10+ years of relevant, demonstrated expertise.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Experience with space domain awareness/space operations in a high-tempo environment.
• Experience producing operational reporting/briefings and coordinating responses across mission partners.

Responsibilities

• Independently monitor SDA tools, threat reporting, and cues to identify space events and I&W.
• Maintain and validate high-interest object custody; reconcile data across sources.
• Lead event characterization and provide COA recommendations to leadership.
• Initiate and execute checklist responses; coordinate with partners to deconflict actions.
• Develop and deliver routine/ad hoc leadership briefings with proper classifications.
• Analyze recurring events and tool performance; recommend updates to TTPs/thresholds/workflows.
• Mentor junior operators during shifts and live events; provide on-the-job training.
• Support integration of new capabilities via testing and feedback.
